Small town dining can be a challenge when you are traveling for a family reunion, bachelor or bachelorette party. Here are a few restaurants better suited for groups and tips for getting a table!
SEATED DINING - Below are seated dining options in Salida. For all of these restaurants, plan to arrive 30-60 minutes before you are hungry to put your name on the list. There are a number of fun nearby spots to grab a drink while you wait. We love Benson's Tavern and The Office Bar. You can also walk to the river and watch rafters and surfers while you wait.
Boathouse Cantina - 228 N F St Salida, CO
Boathouse is an ideal place for any group to gather. The restaurant has a large menu with options for any age or palette. Some of our favorites are the fried chicken sandwich, the ahi salad, the tacos and the burgers. Click for Boathouse Menu
High Side! - 300 W Sackett Ave, Salida, CO
High Side! is another great place for groups. They can sometimes accommodate reservations if you email Angela at
highsidesalida@gmail.com. High Side! has a classic bar menu with items prepared very well. Click here for High Side! Menu
Pizza Rio - 228 N F St Suite # 300, Salida, CO
Pizza Rio is a great spot for New York style pizza, pasta and more. Located above Boathouse, this restaurant has a great view of the river. Don't feel like waiting for a table? Grab a pizza to go and enjoy it in Riverside Park, right across the street. Click here for Pizza Rio's Menu
Quincy's Steakhouse - 710 Milford St, Salida, CO
Quincy's is one of the few seated dining options where you can often walk in with a group and be seated immediately. That being said, Quincy's menu and vibe is quirky so you have to assess whether it's a good choice for your group. Quincy's served Prime Rib on Friday and Saturday and Filet Mignon the rest of the week - your only menu choice is how big you want your beef. The interior vibe is super old school with wood booths, tiffany lamps and vintage photos. Click here for Quincy's Menu
Iron Chest Steakhouse - 10965 Co Rd 128, Poncha Springs, CO Iron Chest is a more traditional steakhouse with great salads and sandwiches in addition to traditional steak options. Iron Chest is located in Poncha Springs and is still the new kid in town so the wait for your group is likely to be much shorter than downtown Salida's restaurants. Click here for Iron Chest's Menu
